It is the policy of the Cardinals Football Program to place all players, as deemed by the Football Coordinator, into the lowest level of play possible for the age and weight requirements governed by Pop Warner.
It is our belief that both the player and program benefit most from this policy and is important in maintaining our responsibility for the success of both.
A player will be placed, in the beginning of the season, where the Football Coordinator feels there will be the most success and safety achieved by the player even though he/she may be marginally above or below the Pop Warner weight chart. This is based on the Football Coordinators discretion, which takes into account various factors such as seasonal weight gain or loss, physical size, maturity and previous football experience.
In addition, both parents and players' input is welcome but the decision is still the Football Coordinators, who maintains the ability to change the level of any player right up to the time of roster submission to the league.
As there is dual eligibility between the Peewee and JH levels, it is standard policy that 7th graders who fall into the Pop Warner age and weigh requirements will be placed at the Peewee level while all 8th graders will be placed at the JH level.
If at this time, either party is not happy with the placement then standard chain of command for resolution is in place as is the refund policy.
